Emergency rescue December 17 & 18, 2008 in Lexington, Alabama

Tim, Robert, and Deb recently made an emergency rescue run to Lexington, Alabama to save several Zebra Finches and Cockatiels from certain death.  It was a spur of the moment rescue with little time for planning or recruiting assistance.  A gentleman breeder had passed away leaving his flock in outside aviaries to face the elements of winter with no one to care for them.  Below are some pictures from this rescue.

Robert tired from driving.  (This is actually his good look.)  Ha ha!

Damn I'm tired.  Get the gas and let's go...NOW!!!

We were invited to participate in the event at the Air Zoo with

Laki's Home Bird Rescue. Our main focus was bird adoption and

educating the public on bird care. We took several of our birds

there for demonstration purposes. Other groups were there as

well. Lots of activities were planned for all ages.
