Do you have the time to help? If so we can always use a volunteer just like
you!
   
- Have some bird experience
- Willingness to learn
- Willingness to drive in your designated area to perform
the home checks
- Have a dependable vehicle or use of one
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be willing to submit to a criminal background check. If
anything is found it will not automatically disqualify you from service. All
decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
- Be willing to attend conferences when available in your
area.
- Perform your duties in a respectable manner always being
a positive representative of the Healthipet Network.
- Be able and willing to ask for help when needed
- Be able to educate the adopters on any issues that may
arise from the bird being placed in the home.
- Appropriate attire must be worn when performing your
duties for the Healthipet Network. Casual wear is acceptable.
- Make sure that you obtain the history of the bird you
are placing including the basic species profile (if not experienced.)
- All HC’s will report findings back to the
Network and the placing
shelter. The decision to place the bird is solely at the discretion of the
placing shelters, not the HC’s or local shelters.
